Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy uses plant based pure essential oils to improve your health and wellbeing.

Aromatherapy uses pure essential oils blended with carrier oils specifically for your massage needs. These oils are derived from nature – each from a single botanical source (e.g. lavender essential oil is made from flowers). Completely natural, pure essential oils are not retained nor do they leave traces in the body like some chemical or artificial products do.

While your body benefits from the use of the essential oils absorbed through your skin, you also receive the aromatic healing benefits associated with the specific essential oils being used.

In addition to enjoying a full body massage, the use of essential oils will also promote a greater sense of relaxation, serenity and harmony. Some of the benefits of incorporating aromatherapy into your massage include:

  • Reduced stress
  • Increased relaxation
  • Stronger immunity
  • Improved quality of sleep
  • Decreased muscle tension
  • Pain relief

The benefits of aromatherapy are endless, while the risks around it are few. If you have sensitive skin or suspect any other allergies, we recommend you perform a patch test inside of your forearm. Apply the pure essential oil in a carrier oil (any vegetable oil will do) at twice the dilution that is intended to be used. If you have a reaction, it will usually present within 15 minutes but can take up to 24 hours. If a reaction does occur DO NOT USE WATER, almond oil or any vegetable oil should be applied instead until the reaction settles down.
